The holidays are right around the corner, and what better to get you in the spirit than some holiday comedies. After all, Christmas is a time of cheer and laughter. So, why not start it off with one of, if not all of, the best stoner holiday movies!

Today, I’m going to be revealing what I feel are the 5 best stoner holiday movies. I will give the name of each one, and a little bit about the movies to help you decide which one fits you the best. Although, if you are a cannabis enthusiast like I am, I think you will enjoy all of these movies! You just have to promise me one thing… That you wont watch these movies without some of your favorite bud! After all, these are stoner holiday movies!

I’m going to rank these starting with my least favorite. This is obviously opinion based. So, if you have movies to add, then feel free to put them in the comments below.

Number 5: ‘It’s a Wonderful Binge’

This one is a sequel to the movie “The Binge”. So, you may want to watch that first, but from personal experience it isn’t totally necessary. I have not seen the first one yet, but I was still able to follow along with what was going on in this one.

‘The Binge’ is based in the future where all alcohol and drugs have been outlawed except for one night a year. However, in this sequel they have decided to move the binge to Christmas eve. They do this, because they realize Christmas can be extra stressful.

As to be expected, chaos breaks out in the town, and a series of crazy events unfold. So, buckle up for a bit of a ride with this one. Make sure to have the giggles from your favorite strain, because this is in no way a serious movie. Some would even view it as stupid or just silly, maybe those people need to have a binge of their own. You can catch ‘It’s a Wonderful Binge’ on Hulu. Unfortunately this is the only platform that you can currently find the movie on.

Number 4: ‘Office Christmas Party’

To say this movie is off the chain, would be an understatement. This movie takes all the crazy things you want to do instead of work during the holidays, and they do them at work. You will need a strain that is good for pain, because your stomach may hurt after all the laughing you will do during this movie.

Caution this movie may make you want to do bad things at work. Things that could get you fired. Me telling you to watch this movie is in no way condoning this behavior at work. However, it’s nice to be able to smoke, maybe drink, and live through the movie in your living room, where you wont get fired for your actions.

Actions like, jousting with office Christmas trees that are on fire. Obviously I wouldn’t suggest doing this at home ether. It is one of the many crazy things that happens in this Jason Bateman led comedy, where they go against the majority owners wishes, and have the office party of the century. Number 3: ‘Friday After Next’

A lot of people don’t know that this is a holiday movie, but it is, and it falls 3rd on my list of top five best stoner holiday movies. This movie is actually the third in the ‘Friday’ trilogy. Unlike, ‘It’s a Wonderful Binge’, with this movie you will want to watch the first 2 movies before watching this one. It’s a must. So, that you can be caught up, and you aren’t lost during this movie.

Besides that, they are arguably better than this one. Not that this one isn’t good, but we all know 1 and 2 are usually better than 3. It’s the same with this trilogy. None the less, this movie will have you gasping for air between laughing. especially, if you enjoy some of your favorite cannabis during it!

Watch as Craig, (Ice Cube), and his cousin Day-Day take on a security job during the holidays at a shopping center in their town. The same shopping center, that their dads own a BBQ joint in. As the movie unravels, Craig and Day-Day find themselves trying to solve a mystery at the shopping plaza. All while trying to get stoned, but not fired. Enjoy ‘Friday After Next‘ (#ad) here.

Number 2: ‘A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas’

Who doesn’t like Harold and Kumar? Especially, in the stoner community. They are, arguably, the cheech and chong of the early 2000s. With White Castle putting these two on the map in the first movie. It’s hard to believe anyone in the stoner community hasn’t seen ‘Harold and Kumar go to White Castle’.

However, If you haven’t seen any of the three Harold and Kumar movies, then i suggest you at least watch the first one before watching, ‘A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas’. This will help give you a background on the two, as well as, help you understand their dynamic, because a lot has changed by the third movie for both characters.

In this version of Harold and Kumar, they have become estranged. Harold is a successful executive at a big company, he is married, and he is trying to start a family. Kumar, on the other hand, is now a single stoner with very little to look forward to other than getting “not low” every day. Watch how these two end up crossing paths again, and the crazy series of events that unravels when they do. Number 1: ‘The Night Before’

Before bed every night i thank god for a few things. Amongst these things are my wife, my family, a roof over my head, food on my table, and Seth Rogan. Without Seth Rogan, life would be less funny, and that’s a stoner fact (a fact that isn’t may not actually be a fact, but to a stoner it really feels like a fact).

The best way to describe this movie, is that it is an adventure! This is a gut buster as well as a tear jerker at times. This makes it my number one pick for stoner holiday movies, because it’s not just all slapstick humor. It has true life lessons in it. While all the movies on this list teach good life lessons, this movie does the best job of doing so.

Watch as Isaac, Ethan, and Chris, (Seth Rogan, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Anthony Mackie), embark on their adventure to get to the famous Nutcracker Ball in newyork city. Isaac and his wife are expecting soon, and Ethan’s, as well as Chris’s, lives are becoming more complicated as well. So, they decide this will be the last year for their life long tradition of partying their butts off on Christmas eve. What happens in this final year of tradition for Isaac, Ethan, and Chris, will have you adding this movie to your list of holiday movie traditions!
