Yocan Uni Pro Review. The Best Marijuana Vape Pen!

Welcome to cannabistheanswer.com, the cannabis for everyone site, where we provide a judgment free zone to learn and talk all about cannabis. Today, I am doing a Yocan Uni Pro review. Which in my opinion, is the best marijuana vape pen on the market. As always this is not medical advice and is written for educational purposes.

I have been using one of these vape pens for the past few years, and I have been nothing but impressed by their performance and reliability. They are not impervious to water or other liquids like beer. Speaking from personal experience. My 3rd one was submerged in my pocket in the pool for 5 minutes and worked for 6 months after that before it quit They are not impervious, but I’ve had more expensive pens just stop working for no reason.

What is a marijuana vape pen?

As I discussed in my article, “What is The Best Way To Consume Cannabis?”, there are a couple of different ways to consume marijuana. Vaping it is one of those ways. You can vape dried herb or like the form I’m talking about today comes in a concentrated oil.

These oils come in, carts, pods, and disposables. With carts and pods you need, what’s popularly called a pen. Disposables are an all in one. They have the cart/pod and the pen/battery all in one. A pen is basically, a battery that puts voltage to the cart or pod. It heats the coil, and turns the oil into a vapor. Then, you inhale that vapor and exhale it, and it works about the same as actually smoking marijuana plant material would.

The Uni pro vs uni pro plus.

Yocan makes a wide variety of products for consuming all forms of cannabis. Among these products, is the Uni Pro and the Uni Pro Plus, vape pens. The Plus is basically an upgraded version of the Pro.

They both have a screen and buttons to select settings displayed on the screen. They both use a magnet that screws on the bottom of what is called a 510 cart. So if you go with this vape pen you will have to buy 510 vape carts. Your local dispensary will know what you are talking about.

so you put the magnet on the bottom of the cart and put it in the pen. These two also feature a twisty mechanism at the top, that holds your cart properly in place. So, what is the difference between the two?

From what I have found, The Yocan Uni Pro Plus is larger. It also has a longer battery life and more voltage options. My Brother has had the Uni Pro plus for 3 years now. In that time, I have gone through 3 Uni Pros. Now this could be because I’m way harder on my pen than my brother, but his has definitely held up very well. The only thing I like more about the Uni Pro over the Plus is, that it is smaller.

How do they work?

So you have the magnet on the bottom of the cart, and put it in the vape pen. You tightened twisted it in there nice and tight and go to take a hit, but nothing comes out. First, lets make sure you are hitting the silver button. When you do, does the little screen light up?

If it doesn’t then lift your finger off the button, and then just simply tap the button 5 times in a row. The screen should light up. If the cart is connected properly, then it will show you how much battery is left and what voltage it is set to. If it says, “no atomizer”, it means something is wrong with the cart. It could be the magnet just isn’t all the way tight, or it didn’t seat properly. Try pushing the cart down lightly, and twist it clockwise to see if it connects.

Once connected, adjust the voltage to your preference. My suggestion is to start low and build your way up. This way you can get use to it without getting to harsh of a hit. For instance, when I put a new cart in my pen, I like to set the voltage down to 2.8V. Then I work my way up to 3.3-3.8V. I wouldn’t suggest going over 3.8 unless you are a veteran smoker/vaper.

Finally you hold the button and put it to your lips. Draw in a hit and hold it for a couple seconds and exhale. Take it one hit at a time. I usually wait about 10-15 minutes between hits to see if the effects kick in. You can read more about ways of dosing and wait times in my earlier article,”Marijuana for Beginners. What it really is and how to use it“.

What do they cost?

The Yocan Uni Pro costs 30-35 dollars depending on where you guy it. The Yocan Uni Pro Plus costs 50-55 dollars, depending on where you buy it. You have to be careful not to buy a fake though. Fakes will break and malfunction leaving you frustrated. For legitimate Yocan Uni Pro and Pro Plus, you can visit my favorite place to buy them. I like to buy them from Smoke Cartel. <Click here to check out the selction I have put together for you>

You can also find a variety of different other smoking and vaping products there as well. So, feel free to search around and see what else they have as well! Smoke Cartel is one of the best sites on the web to buy anything to do with consuming cannabis.

I Hope this helped.

Hopefully this review will help you make an educated decision on the best marijuana vape pen for you. I hope it at least pointed you in the right decision. The best thing you can do is learn and then make an educated decision. Yocan makes very quality products for a decent price. I have paid way more for vape pens that didn’t last or work nearly as well as My Yocan Uni Pro!

Overall, this review not only provides valuable information about the Yocan Uni Pro vape pen but also offers guidance to readers on using and purchasing the product. 2. I have bought a vape pen years ago, but it is time for a new one. I used a regular vape pen for my liquid marijuana, but didn’t realize that there were actually ones, especially for marijuana, are they different from a regular one, if so what are the differences please? Also, the larger types, why are they larger, and can they contain more marijuana? thanks!

    1. Hey Lizzy. So, the most common way to vape cannabis is through a cartridge. They come pre-filled with a half gram to a gram of cannabis concentrate. They screw into what is called a 510-thread vape battery. Less commonly you find the cannabis concentrate in a dripper like nicotine oil. Typically this is formulated in a way that it will burn in a classic drip-fill nicotine vape. Again cartridges are more common and easy to come across.

Do you live in a state where marijuana is legal?

  3. Hi Conner,
You’ve done a great job explaining the functionalities and distinguishing between the Uni Pro and the Uni Pro Plus. Your anecdotes add a nice touch, enhancing the review’s authenticity. One thing I’m wondering about: how does the Yocan Uni Pro compare in terms of flavor preservation compared to other vape pens? Does it maintain the true essence of the cannabis?
Thank you for your work and for sharing this detailed review!

    Best regards,
    Makhsud

    1. Hi Makhsud, thank you for your comment. So, with these pens they do not come with cannabis in them already. They are just the battery. You have to buy a cartridge that is pre-filled with cannabis concentrate. It then screws onto a magnet that seats it into the vape pen. The quality and longevity of the cannabis depends on the cartridge you buy. If marijuana is not legal in your area cartridges may be hard to come across. As far as the device itself I’ve had and used mine for a few years now.

      Best regards,

      Conner

  4. This is the first time that I have read that a vape pen is also for the use of marijuana. I always thought that marijuana had to be taken via a different method. Ok so now I have learned something new.

I like that you have explained how to use the pen and what to do when it isn’t working. This is helpful. What do you recommend spending on a vape pen to ensure that it lasts, as the ones I have come across seem to break within a few months?

    1. Hi Michel, great comment! I have had this model for a few years now and my brothers had his for longer and it’s still going. I would recommend spending no less than 30-40 dollars to ensure you get a quality vape pen.

      Thanks,

      Conner

    Best wishes,
