Gift Ideas for Pot Smokers

Welcome to cannabistheanswer.com, the cannabis for everyone site, where we provide a judgment free zone to learn and talk all about cannabis. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I know that i haven’t. Whether Christmas shopping or looking for someones birthday, read this article to get some gift ideas for the pot smoker(s) in your life.

There are many different ways to consume cannabis. So, My hope with this article to help you get gift ideas through figuring out what kind of smoker you are buying for. Do they smoke through joints or glassware, and what are the differences? I will be going over the different ways to smoke, and the accessories that go along with them.

Do they smoke joints or blunts?

There are many different ways to consume cannabis. The most common of these ways, is to smoke it. There are several different ways to smoke cannabis. The most common way is through a joint or a blunt. A joint is cannabis rolled up in a paper material, sometimes with a filter or tip. It is then smoked like a cigarette.

If you are buying a gift for a pot enthusiast that smokes this way, then some 1&1/4 inch rolling papers and some tips would make a good, affordable gift idea. You are talking somewhere around 5-10 bucks all together, before any kind of shipping and handling.

A blunt on the other hand is like a joint, but it is wrapped with some kind of leaf. Usually people use tobacco leaf products, but there is a wide variety of tobacco and nicotine free blunt wrap options. My favorite tobacco free blunt wrap, has a filter already built into it, and you just pack your dried herb in it, light it and smoke it. There is no rolling involved.

It could be a good idea to figure out if the smoker in your life likes to roll their own joints/blunts. They may prefer to have a preformed joint or blunt wrap that they can just pack, light, and then smoke. I like to do it both ways. If you don’t want to give away what you are buying them, then you can pick up a variety for a pretty decent price. They may find themselves liking something new, because you got it for them.

What is that funny looking glassware?

Maybe you have been at one of your friends houses, and you notice some funny looking glassware, and you notice a skunky kind of smell in the air. There is a good chance that your friend smokes pot, and that is a device for doing so. While some of these glass pieces can be weird looking, I assure you they serve a purpose.

As long as you don’t break it, and make sure to keep it clean, a good glass piece can last a lifetime. There are also other materials like silicon and acrylic/plastic pieces, that will come in handy for those with more clumsy friends.

The two main pieces are most commonly called bongs (water pipes) or bowls (non-water pipes). A bong, or water pipe, often looks like a beaker. It holds a little bit of water at the bottom that the pot smoke filters through as you inhale. This is one of my favorite ways to consume cannabis, due to the smooth hits, and they are very efficient. Meaning, you typically burn through less cannabis when you use a glass piece.

A bowl, looks like a fancy glass pipe, that usually has a breather hole that you operate with your finger. This allows air in with the hit to help smooth it a little bit. You put your pot in the bowl of the pipe, light it, and inhale with your finger over the whole. Then let it open as you continue to inhale. Both of these are often seen as cleaner ways to smoke, because they don’t contain extra materials that burn off like the blunts and joints do. You are burning, and inhaling the cannabis and that’s it. There are plenty of different bongs and bowls out there. So, you will likely be able to find the perfect one.

Concentrates and vapes

Some people don’t like smoking the plant material of cannabis at all. Instead, they prefer to consume cannabis concentrates. You can consume concentrates a couple different ways.

One of the most famous ways to consume cannabis concentrates is through what is called dabbing. People use what is called a dab rig. Which is actually very similar to a bong or water pipe. It just holds a bowl specially designed for concentrates. You heat the specially designed bowl up with a torch until it is glowing red. Then you place a dab of concentrate in the bottom of the bowl while inhaling through the water pipe. They even make electronic dab rigs that heat the bowl and concentrate, without the need for a torch.

Vapes are another way to consume concentrates. They make a concentrated cannabis oil that they put into a cartridge or a pod. Then you put the cartridge or pod onto a vape battery that heats the oil, and you inhale the vapors from it. You could buy them a cool new vape battery. It is important to know if they need a 510 cartridge vape, or a vape that holds pods.

There are also devices that allow you to vape dry herb cannabis as well. So, you pack it up just like a bowl, and instead of it burning the cannabis it heats it until it releases a vapor that you inhale. Click the link at the bottom of the page, and type in the search dry herb vaporizer to see all of your options.

Non-smoker pot enthusiasts.

There is a large selection of people that do not smoke or vape, and they still consume cannabis. Cannabis is very diverse in the fact that there are many different ways to consume it. You will see this primarily done through edibles. However, there a number of other products on the market that don’t require inhaling anything.

If the person you are buying for may fall under this category, it is very important to see what their preferences are. It is better to give a gift away, than to risk them not liking it, and it going to waste anyways.

It could also prove to be challenging to find them a gift other than the product that they are using. Whether that be gummies, other edibles, or tincture drops that they put under their tongue. If you don’t have access to these kinds of products, then maybe try some cannabis memorabilia.

Hopefully this helps.

I hope that I was able to help you in the search for the perfect gift. If not, then I at least hope I helped point you in the right direction. This time of year can be stressful. However, keep in mind that it is a time to give love and happiness to others. You can give love and happiness to the pot smoker(s) in your life with some of the gift ideas i mentioned above.

  1. With Christmas coming and having practically all my friends smoking, this was a very informative post that gave me a lot of ideas! I think that my friends are going to be happy 🙂 where I live we usually smoke joints so this article was helpful and help my friends discover other ways of smoking that could be more healthy for them and more enjoyable! Thanks for that

    1. I’m happy I was able to help! I think you will be able to find something that all your friends will like! There are so many options out there so if you get overwhelmed just let me know, and I can help!

  2. Personally my favorite way of consuming cannabis is just with a one-hitter. I’m not much of a guy for joints but I find a one-hitter is just fine too. I have had edibles and vape pens and dry vape and even oil but I find that a one hitter is just a good way to keep myself from getting too high. Have a good one.

    1. The elusive one-hitter. This piece doesn’t get enough publicity. I used to use a one-hitter on a regular basis, and would make a great addition to anybody’s collection! It is truly one of the most simple and discrete forms of consuming cannabis! They fit right in your pocket. Maybe I will write an article about some nice one-hitters soon! Thank you for your input!

  3. Are these products available on Amazon?  I have some friends who smoke.  I would see what other pot ideas are there to gift my friends.  These are good gift ideas.  I do want to purchase these ideas.  Are there discounts on these gifts?  What brands do you recommend?  Are there brands you recommend more than others?

    1. Hey Anshu!

Thank you for your questions. Amazon can be kind of sparse when looking for smokeware. They do carry a lot of joint or blunt materials. Mostly, because they can be used with tobacco also. But, anything that pertains just to marijuana is hard to come by on amazon due to federal regulations. This is why I suggest Smoke Cartel. They carry the best products on the market, and pretty much have anything you can think of! One of my favorite products is the Arizer V-tower. You can read my article about it here https://cannabistheanswer.com/…. If you know anyone who vapes cannabis cartridges. Yocan Is a leading brand in the industry and the one I use personally. To check it out read my other article https://cannabistheanswer.com/….

What kind of smokers are your friends? If I know this I can help you a lot more!

  5. Really enjoyed this comprehensive guide on gift ideas for cannabis enthusiasts! It’s so insightful to see the variety of options available, catering to different preferences from joints and blunts to vapes and edibles. Your detailed descriptions of each type of product, like the distinction between joints and blunts, and the introduction of dab rigs and water pipes, make it easy for someone like me, who’s not too familiar with these products, to understand and choose the perfect gift. Great job in highlighting the versatility of cannabis-related gifts. This article is a huge help for the holiday season and beyond!

  6. Hi Conner,
I just read your blog post “Gift Ideas for Pot Smokers” and found it really informative and diverse. It’s great how you cater to different preferences, from joint and blunt smokers to those who prefer glassware or vapes. You’ve covered a wide array of options, which is fantastic for gift-givers. One thing I’m curious about is how to choose the right gift for someone new to cannabis. What would be your top recommendation for a beginner, something that’s user-friendly but still a cool gift?
Thanks for sharing such a comprehensive guide!

    Warm regards,
    Makhsud

    1. Hey Makhsud, thanks for your input here! I appreciate your kind words! Thinking back to when I was new to cannabis, I remember it being a little overwhelming. I just wanted something simple that I could just use here and there. One of my friends had this cool wood box type thing that had a chamber in for dried herb and another chamber that held a pipe that was painted like a cigarette.

I thought it was cool simple and discrete. You simply take ground up cannabis, put it in its respective chamber. Then you take the pipe and push the wide end into the ground cannabis chamber. This packs the tip with enough cannabis for one or two hits, and it looks like you are hitting a cigarette.

Anyways this is my number one suggestion for anyone that is new to smoking cannabis. It is called a dugout one hitter. Feel free to check out this cool one I picked out myself, and many others as well. Some have way cooler designs than even this one.

      I hope this was helpful!

      Best regards,

      Conner

  7. Hey Conner! 🌿🎁 Just read your post on gift ideas for pot smokers—awesome suggestions! The breakdown on joints, blunts, and glassware is super helpful. I’m thinking of getting a gift for a friend who’s into concentrates. Any recommendations on cool vape batteries or other accessories for dabbing? Also, loved the reminder about non-smoker pot enthusiasts; edibles are a great alternative. Do you have any unique edible gift ideas or cannabis memorabilia suggestions? Thanks for making the gift hunt easier! 🎄

    1. Hi, Hanna! Thank you for your comments and kind words! Here are my favorite vape batteries and the one I use personally is the Uni Pro.

Also as far dab rigs go… It just depends on the type of dabber they are. The electric dab pen, is very unique and it fits right in your pocket to be used anywhere!

As far as edibles go, do you live in a state or country that has legal recreational dispensaries. If so you could simply buy them some edibles. If not here is an article I wrote on a simple way to make your own edibles! “How to Make Cannabis Cookies, The Simple Way” >How to Make Cannabis Cookies, The Simple Way“.

As always I hope this was helpful!

      Thanks, Conner

  8. I found your article on gift ideas for pot smokers really interesting and creative! Your suggestions are unique and thoughtful, catering to various preferences within the cannabis community. Have you personally tried any of these gift ideas? I’ve gifted a friend a stylish stash box before, and it was a hit! I’m curious, do you have any other out-of-the-box suggestions that might surprise seasoned cannabis enthusiasts?

Your inclusion of both practical and fun gift options is fantastic. It’s refreshing to see items like smell-proof bags alongside whimsical accessories like fun ashtrays. How do you think the perception of cannabis-related gifts has evolved in recent years? Personally, I’ve noticed a shift toward more sophisticated and stylish products. Thank you for sharing these fantastic gift ideas; it’s a great resource for anyone looking to gift something special to a cannabis enthusiast!

    1. Hi, yes I have tried most of the things listed in my article. My favorite would be between a water pipe (bong), and the king palm blunts! I do have a great idea that is sure to impress any seasoned cannabis enthusiast. I stumbled across a 12 days of Christmas glassware bundle sale. Some of these will knock their socks off! My favorite is day 12, but there’s lots of great options!

The cannabis smoke ware industry has come a long way. I think there are a lot of trends. One of them being smoke ware that is more discrete, and looks normal in a house or blends in with other house objects. Some pretty cool stuff. A lot of adults don’t want their house looking like a college frat house.

  9. Great article on gift ideas for pot smokers! I do have a friend who occasionally dabbles in cannabis products and enjoys it, but since I don’t know anything about the topic, I always find it difficult to find suitable gifts for him. This guide has given me great ideas. I do know he is a fan of edibles and I always liked the idea of giving handmade gifts. Do you have any guides on creating homemade edibles?

  10. I don’t smoke pot myself, but use drops in oil, but I do know someone who does and I have wondered what gift to get him for the holidays, so these look ideal haha! I know he has a bong already, but maybe I can get him one to travel with, are there non-breakable ones? Also, I was thinking about a very small scale to weigh the pot, do you know of any good brands? thanks!

    1. Hi Lizzy, good to hear from you! Drops are a great way to consume cannabis products! Yes they do have acrylic water bongs that wont break. As far as scales go, Truweigh mini, is my go to scale. It’s small, but will weigh something as light as .1 gram and up to 600 grams! That’s a lot packed into a pocket scale! Hopefully this helps! Thank you!

  14. Your suggestions were very insightful and great gift ideas I wished I had thought or researched on as Christmas cannabis gifts for a loved one. I’ll be mindful of these thoughtful ideas for his birthday coming up. I had no idea of the availability of the products for pot smokers. I’m not one but I do know of one who’s a heavy blunt smoker. I will bring these suggestions to him and find out which new product he would try and make plans for his upcoming birthday gift at the local dispensary. Thank you for sharing your expertise and guide in pot smoking.

  16. I am a cannabis connoisseur and I love this article, I am sending this to all my friends for my birthday wish list to be fullfilled. I may have missed Christmas, but my birthday is right around the corner, may as well be on Christmas lol.

Thank you for my birthday wish list with places for my non-smoker friends to shop as well, most awesome!!

    Stacie

    1. Hey Stacie,

I’m glad I could help! I hope they all find it very useful! My birthday is right before Christmas so I know that feeling! Also if you like smoking through the bong, Smoke Cartel is running a 20% off deal on all bongs until the 3rd. Tell them to use code HELLO2024.

  17. Hi Conner,

Thanks for the insightful article on gift ideas for pot smokers. It’s great to have a variety of options for the diverse ways people enjoy cannabis. I particularly appreciated your breakdown of different smoking methods, from joints and blunts to glassware, concentrates, and vapes.

I’m curious about one thing: for someone who enjoys smoking joints or blunts, you suggested 1&1/4 inch rolling papers and tips as a thoughtful and affordable gift. However, with the increasing popularity of pre-rolled joints and blunts, do you think there are any specific brands or types of pre-rolls that make for a unique and enjoyable gift? It might be helpful for those who want to give a ready-to-go smoking experience without revealing their gift in advance.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this, and thanks again for the holiday gift suggestions!

    Blessings and Abundance

    1. Hi Starliight,

Thank you for your comment! I’m glad you found value in my article. As far as pre-rolls go, If you live in a state or country where it is recreationaly legal, then you can buy them at a dispensary. If not or you don’t live close to one, but have your own flower and grinder, then you can role your own pre-roll. However, if you aren’t the best at hand rolling the King palm pre-rolled blunt wraps are a great option or even the pre-rolled paper cones. With both these options you simply put the ground flower in little by little packing it down. This creates a perfect pre-rolled blunt or joint!

      Thanks!

      Conner

  18. Hey thanks for this post!

I was able to learn quite a lot of information from this post on joints and blunts which I wasn’t expecting. Since it is gift giving time, which I am sure you are aware can be a bit of a struggle, I think this would be a nice gift.

My neighbour usually uses a joint so I guess some paper material would be ideal.

Thanks again and have a great day!

  19. Hey everyone,

  21. This is really helpful in finding gifts for cannabis smokers.
As soon as I started reading, I wondered about vaping for weed and you have explained that very well.
    V
It’s good to know there are many options for people to get their cannabis into their bodies, including edibles.
I learned a lot from this article and will keep it in mind for gift ideas when I come across friends with this habit.

  22. Hi Conner! I hope you are doing well!

    Such a great site.

The variety of gifts you’ve listed caters to a wide range of preferences, which is fantastic. It shows a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of pot smokers. Some of the options you listed are new to me. Thank you for sharing!

Looking forward to exploring more of your recommendations!

    Best wishes,

    Idem

  23. My nephews grow their own cannabis and the one normally then rolls it into paper to smoke it. I have heard them talk about a joint and a blunt, but never really knew the difference. So I am very pleased that you have explained the difference between the two.

You mention that a blunt wrap has a filter built into it and one just packs the dried cannabis into it. But how would one get the cannabis into it without breaking the blunt wrap? Is there a special tool with which one scoops and packs the cannabis? Do you have a photograph of what it looks like? Thank you.

  24. Nowadays people no longer hide the fact that they use pot and just about every second person I bump into is a user. I think a lot of people don’t like smoking it and I see that there is a place for all to consume pot in different ways.

I found it a very interesting read, as I had no idea that there were so many ways to consume pot. Personally, I would prefer it in edible form, as I don’t like the taste of the raw product, but there are other methods here that I would never have thought existed. You have given me a great idea for something to get my brother who has everything for his birthday.

  25. My, how times have changed. I come from a time before blunts and edibles. We didn’t measure weed in weight, but rather in fingers, as in a 3 finger or 4 finger lid. We made brownies and rolled foot joints for New Year’s Eve, bachelor parties and other special/wild occasions.

Of course, then, it was all illegal and many of us went to jail for using marijuana.

Now, people can openly go to stores and buy pretty much anything and everything you need. There’s no talking in code on the phone and making sure a “narc” didn’t follow you to where you were going to buy some weed.

I will say, your article taught me about the difference between a blunt and a joint.  Who knew? Now, I know.

I quit smoking pot in 1993 but I do still have friends who smoke pot. Too bad we’re past Christmas. Oh well, maybe next year.

I have a suggestiion for you that you may not know about. Cheech and Chong made an album in the 70s called “Big Bamboo”. Of course, back then, all albums were of the vinyl variety. The album cover was a large version of rolling papers by the same name, However, inside the cover was a rolling paper the size of a double wide album (12″ x 24″).

Hence, how and why we rolled 2 foot joints for New Year’s Eve, etc.

    Happy New Year!

    Bob

  26. This is a great list!  It’s taken me awhile to figure out some of these terms; I could have used this reference guide earlier! I have one family member who likes to smoke pot and one who likes to dab, but cannabis is not going to be on the approved Christmas list at my parent’s house! Do you have ideas of gifts for pot smokers that aren’t directly related to pot?

    1. So the best thing you can do is be discrete. I know the holiday is over now and you wont have to worry about this til next Christmas. But, you could put together a stoner night basket for them. Include some funny movies like Friday with Ice Cube, some of their favorite snacks, and some drinks. You could even hide a couple of smoke ware products in the bottom, but tell them to open the bottom when they get home. Another good idea if you live close to Michigan or in a state that does a yearly marijuana fest on or around April 20th. Then you could get them tickets to that and tell everyone else they are concert tickets. Thanks for you comment and let me know if you need any more help.

  27. Great article, was wondering though on the edibles. I guess I never really knew their could be so many different kinds. Is their a couple that are more popular for consumption? I would not want to ruin the surprise but also do not want to buy something they would not use. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks for the great read.

    1. Hey Steve, nice to hear from you. I would have to say the most popular edible on the market would be gummys. This is because they are small, and easy to carry. They are also healthier in terms of how much sugars and fats you are eating, because they normally pack the same punch as a whole cookie.

Thanks and let me know if you have any further questions!

  28. I was pleasantly surprised by its helpfulness in guiding readers through gift ideas for cannabis users. The article adeptly covers a variety of consumption methods, ranging from classic joints and blunts to contemporary vapes and dab rigs, providing thoughtful and relevant gift suggestions for each. I especially appreciated the inclusion of non-smoking options, like edibles, which cater to a diverse set of preferences.
The article could benefit from more detailed product descriptions, but the information provided is a great starting point for someone like me who isn’t deeply familiar with all things cannabis. The promotion of Smoke Cartel’s products, while clearly commercial, was integrated in a way that I found useful for finding immediate gift solutions. Overall, this article is a positive, informative resource for anyone looking to buy thoughtful gifts for a cannabis enthusiast.

  29. I never knew there were so many options for joint and blunt enthusiasts, and the tip about preformed joint or blunt wraps is genius! Also, the insights into glassware (bongs vs. bowls) and concentrates/vapes opened up a whole new world of possibilities.

It’s great that you didn’t forget about non-smokers who still enjoy cannabis. The advice on edibles and alternative products is thoughtful.

  30. Hi there Conner,

Thanks so much for this detailed guide for gift ideas for our pot smoker friends. My buddy’s birthday is coming up and I have been wondering what the ideal gift for him considering he loves everything pot smoking and I barely know a thing about the field. However, after reading your post I feel like I’ve got a good grasp of it. He seems to be more into concentrates and I think that’s what I’ll focus on. He’s gonna love me for this. And it’s all thanks to you!

    1. Hey Dave, I’m always happy to help! I’m glad you found my guide to be helpful and useful! Let me know if you need anything else while searching for the right gift!

  31. That is really a personal gift I must say. I am not sure I would be alive if my parents saw it in my room even though it is just a gift. I have a question in terms of transportation as In europe for example there is not many countries that you can sell weed in so how do you transport it?

  32. As someone who’s been in the shoes of gift-giving for cannabis enthusiasts, this article hits home. It speaks to the thoughtful considerations necessary when choosing the perfect gift for friends who enjoy cannabis in its various forms. I’ve often found myself deliberating over whether to go for rolling papers and tips or opt for a sleek glass piece. The author’s advice to factor in the recipient’s preferred consumption method rings true from my own experiences. And let’s not forget the importance of incorporating personal anecdotes and recommendations, which can truly elevate the gift-giving experience. I love the part about the funny-looking glassware. Lol, bongs are funny. I will likely be taking your advice as soon as the holidays approach.

  33. This blog provides such a thoughtful and comprehensive guide to finding the perfect gifts for cannabis enthusiasts. I appreciate the non-judgmental approach and the acknowledgment of the diverse ways people consume cannabis. The breakdown of gift ideas based on different smoking preferences is really helpful, especially for someone like me who might not be familiar with all the options out there. Thanks for making the holiday shopping experience stress-free and enjoyable!

  34. Exploring the world of cannabis gifts through your article was both enlightening and intriguing. It’s evident that you’ve put a lot of thought into providing a variety of gift ideas for pot enthusiasts, catering to different preferences and consumption methods.

I found your breakdown of smoking accessories particularly interesting. As someone who may not be very familiar with the intricacies of glassware and smoking methods, your explanations shed light on the different options available. Have you personally tried all the smoking methods you mentioned? If so, do you have a favorite?

Additionally, your consideration for non-smoking pot enthusiasts is commendable. It’s essential to recognize that cannabis consumption extends beyond smoking and vaping, and offering alternative gift suggestions reflects a thoughtful approach to gift-giving. Have you encountered any unique or creative cannabis-related gifts for non-smokers in your research?

Overall, your article provides valuable insight into the world of cannabis gifting, offering both practical advice and a reminder of the importance of spreading love and happiness during the holiday season. Thank you for sharing your expertise and helping navigate the sometimes-daunting task of finding the perfect gift for pot smokers.”
